this monday, sheila and i were invited over to our friends Kristin and Ryan's place for dinner. they live in the most incredible loft space.
after the wine club lunch i wasn't sure if the day could get any better....

the wine lineup.... started with a mary edwards sauvignon blanc, followed by an isole e olena chianti with dinner and finished off with a 2001 lisini brunello with the cheese course.....i know right??
ryan trained at le cordon bleu in paris, so needless to say the meal was incredible... the menu: rib eye steak, soft polenta, sauteed mushrooms, tomato confit and brussel sprouts

just when we thought it couldn't get any better - ryan busted out homemade strawberry gelato with a dusting of balsamic meringue......
sheila and i left with the biggest food babies ever.....
and both fell asleep on the streetcar home
